The Labyrinth is an ancient spiritual tool that is being rediscovered as a powerful prayer and mediative aid in life's spiritual journey. This canvas floor was painted by St. Catherine's parish from a design recreated by Lauren Artress who modeled it after the Labyrinth found in the Chartres cathedral, France, dating back to the 12th century. Walking this sacred path offers a combined physical action with stillness for prayer and meditation. "It quiets the mind and opens the soul, evoking a sense of wholeness." Like a maze, but with only one path to the center, each part of the Labyrinth is a symbol, in total, a metaphor for our spiritual journey to wholeness. Our walks are on the first Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. for instructions and questions, and 7:30 p.m. for the walk.
